Welcome to Letters and Lines Tutoring! My name is Angie Pavey and I have been teaching for over 20 years. My areas of certification and experience are in Elementary education, English Language Learners, Special Education, Collegiate Academics in Teacher Education, and as a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner. I have a love for teaching students how to read and want to focus on bridging the literacy gap for students that need more explicit and systematic instruction. I have been trained in several Multisensory Reading programs that are founded in the Orton Gillingham method of teaching reading that supports the Science of Reading Initiative. I typically work with school aged children in elementary and middle school. I believe every child has a right to quality instruction in reading and writing. My experience in working with students that struggle with attention has provided me with a skill set in developed strategies and accommodations to help students focus and learn. It is my goal to help students find the confidence in themselves to be lifelong readers and writers. References and Resume are available upon request.
